Unusual presentation of bronchogenic carcinoma

Shanthi Vissa.

Abstract
Bronchogenic carcinoma is well known to spread by lymphatics and blood vessels. The metastases occur at some preferential locations, such as the brain, bones and adrenal gland. It is very rare for the metastasis to occur in the distal most part of the body, that is the distal phalanx of the great toe. Here, we present a man presenting to the hospital with a chronic non healing ulcer of the right great toe, which subsequently found to be the metastasis from the asymptomatic bronchogenic carcinoma.

Key words: Bronchogenic Carcinoma; Metastases; Unusual sites; Distal phalanx of Great toe.
