Acute Wallerian Degeneration of Bilateral Middle Cerebellar Peduncles

Abstract
Acute Wallerian degeneration is the process of demyelination and disintegration of the distal axonal segment following the interruption of the axonal integrity or damage to the neuron. We herein present a case of acute Wallerian degeneration of bilateral middle cerebellar peduncles due to chronic infarcts in the right parieto-occipital lobe and pons that was seen two months after the vascular catastrophe
